BSB Innovation Prize Awards 2005 at PCIE

 

On April 13, 2005, the European Innovation Prize for cosmetics was awarded in the categories „most innovative raw material concept“ both “actives” and “basic ingredients”, „most innovative cosmetic product “, as well as „Further education“ both German and international by the independent BSB Dr. Riedel.

 

BSB was established in 1998 and has been operating internationally in the area of knowledge management with the key focus on chemistry and cosmetics. BSB is active in three core areas: BSB raw materials, product, market and trend reporting, BSB eAcademy (education) and as a service provider in the field of electronic information dissemination (BSB Media Service). Publication of information, in cooperation with numerous partners (e.g. L’Oreal, BASF, Max Planck, etc.) is done together with the associated publishing house, Verlag Dr. Riedel.

 

The Innovation Prize, an innovation prize brought to life by BSB`s founder Dr. Jan-H. Riedel, is supported by business and aims to promote the global dissemination of up-to-date knowledge.

The award winners in the five categories are

 

Most innovative cosmetic product

 

Juvena for their “Juvedical” concept. The Innovation Prize was accepted by Dr. Sven Gohla, head of Juvena R&D.

 

Second rank for New Skin, Beiersdorf.

The winners were determined by three independent, international juries.

The jury for the category “most innovative raw material concepts” comprised Dr Gerhard Noyhnek (L`Oreal), Dr Ralph Schimpf (Beiersdorf), Dr Hans Steisslinger (Lever-Faberge), Dr. Sven Gohla (Juvena), Dr. Wolfgang Irrgang (Mibelle Cosmetics), as well as Mr Karl Raabe, the German representative from IFSCC.

 

 

Jury „most innovative cosmetic product”: Mrs. Bettina Jackwerth (Cognis), Mrs. Ute Amice (Seppic), Mrs Birgit Haemel (S&D Chesham), Dr. Joachim Degwert (SIT), Mr. Robert Fischer (SÖFW).

 

 

On the jury for the categories in education were Dr. Reinhold Miller (Max-Planck-Society), Dr. Ulrike Heinrich (DermaTronnier, only international) representing the independent research institutes, Ms Angelika Meiss (COSSMA) for the press, Hansueli Gonzenbach, Geneve and Dr. Ernst Wagner, DSM (only German) for European industry.

 

 

The Publishing House Dr. Riedel nominated three candidates in each of the education categories and BSB made 5 nominations in each of the three other categories.

 

After the opening of the event by the organizer of the innovation award, Dr. Jan-H. Riedel, at the PCIE in Paris, the five award winners had the opportunity to briefly present their work to the public, jurors, sponsor representatives and the specialist press.
